The Celtics won on home court during fan appreciation day yesterday, April 13, with a 93-86 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
The Celtics sat Tatum, Brown, Porzingus, Horford, Holiday, and White in order to rest their stars for the playoffs.
The starting lineup for Boston was Prichard, Scheierman, Kornet, Hauser, and Craig. Not exactly a murderers’ row, but it was enough to beat the terrible Hornets roster.
The Celtics started the game on fire, winning the first quarter 33-15. The Hornets were able to climb back in it during the middle portion of the game and even briefly took the lead in the third quarter. Ultimately, the Celtics were able to rally in the fourth and win the game by seven points, thanks to a dagger three by Jordan Walsh.
Payton Prichard was outstanding, finishing with 34 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. He put an exclamation point on his case for being the NBA’s 6th Man of the Year and showed why the C’s will rely on him in the upcoming playoffs.

The Celtics will kick off the playoffs on Sunday, April 20, by facing the winner of the Hawks vs Magic game tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15.
Both the Hawks and Magic beat the Celtics in their season series 2-1. The Celtics will obviously be favored to demolish either team in a seven-game playoff matchup, but either team could steal a game or two if they play well enough.
Questions have been surrounding star Jaylen Brown over whether or not he will play in the first round. Coach Joe Mazulla assured fans that Brown will indeed play, saying that he is “100 percent”.
